*****All volunteer interaction with the students requires completion of the Archdiocesan background check and completing the ‘Safe Environment” program.

Elementary Catechists       

Teach Catholic children who attend grades 1-6 in public schools about our faith. Classes are held on Sunday morning from 10:10-11:20AM. Sessions are held in Holy Rosary School. Training and materials are provided. Preparation for sessions takes about one hour or more per week.

 Good News Catechists

Teach the Liturgy of the Word (Good News) to all children of the Parish (HR students and public school students) in grades 1-6 at 9AM on Sunday mornings. The Good News students join their parents at the Offertory of the Mass.

 Pre-school Catechists

Teach children ages 3-5 years old on Sunday mornings during the 9AM mass from late September through April. Training and materials are provided and preparation time of about one hour or more per week is needed. Teams usually teach twice a month.

Pre-school Assistants  

Assists the main catechist in the classroom at the 9AM mass (every other week).

Materials Aides

Assemble needed supplies for the catechists before classes begin. Time commitment varies. Most work can be done at home.

Religious Ed Office Assistants 

Volunteers are needed on Sunday morning to help assemble materials, prepare copies, address envelopes, etc.

 Lenten Family Program 

An opportunity for families to prepare for the Lenten season. This year’s program will be February 7, 2016. Volunteers can assist in the areas of planning, preparation, hospitality, facilitators, station leaders, setup and clean-up.
