Sacramental Preparation

INFANT BAPTISM – For details, please click here

FIRST RECONCILIATION/FIRST EUCHARIST – Children are prepared for these sacraments after completing a year of remote preparation in either the school or religious education program. Parents attend preparation sessions for each sacrament.

CONFIRMATION – The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated yearly for those who are high school sophomores or older. Attendance at preparation sessions is required. Adults who have not been confirmed may also celebrate the sacrament. Contact the Parish Office for information about preparation.

MARRIAGE – Couples wishing to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage should contact the parish at least 6 months prior to the desired date. Preparation for celebrating and living the sacrament is required.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK – is celebrated any time there is a serious illness or health crisis. Contact the parish office to make arrangements. The sacrament is also celebrated periodically at a Sunday liturgy and on weekdays.

ADULT INITIATION – Adults who are considering joining the Catholic Church prepare through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The process includes social, educational, and ritual aspects which gradually draw you more fully into the life of Christ and his family. New sessions begin in September. Because entry into the Church is the fruit of a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, most people come to RCIA after first addressing their questions in the Exploring Catholicism group. Contact Roberta Tassani for further information.
