The Cold Weather Shelter is open from November 1st through April 1st, whenever the temperature is predicted to fall below 34 degrees Farenheit for 4 or more hours (between 8pm and 6am).
Holy Rosary parishioners volunteer on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings at the Cold Weather Shelter in Lynnwood. The Holy Rosary CWS team provides each guest a hot dinner, a mattress and blanket, a warm smile, and morning breakfast.
We are seeking additional adult volunteers (age 18+) who are willing to work in the homeless shelter greeting guests and serving meals, OR on the food preparation team preparing meals and snacks (this is done off-site and does not require attendance at the shelter) OR donating components for the meals/snacks.
If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the opportunities, please email Cindy Olson ([email protected]) or Sue Suver ([email protected])."
