As members of Holy Rosary Parsh we recognize that all we have is a gift from God and as sisters and brothers in Christ we are called to share a portion of what we have received.
The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, "Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.” - Luke 10:35
This verse, the last in ”The Parable of the Good Samaritan,” gets to the heart of stewardship. God has given us a world to take care of, and he has given us the means to take care of it. If we open our hearts to care, we will be repaid.
God has blessed many of us with much more than two silver coins. Many of us have been blessed with children, and many of us have been blessed with material bounty. Planning for our future enables us to be good stewards of our families and the causes that we care about. If we have been stewards all our lives, planned giving enables us to bring our stewardship to a close.
